Thursday 13th July 2017 Walk Report.

22 walkers including two potential new members set off from The Bell at Gumley on a pleasant summer’s day.  The fields were dry and it was easy walking. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The route went towards Laughton before arriving at the Grand Union Canal.  From there the walk was along to Foxton Locks.  A lot of boats were travelling up and down the locks which was interesting as these are staircase locks.   Ice creams were purchased and time spent following the passage of the boats.

On arrival back at the pub Margaret, Hugh and Ann joined us.  The pub was overflowing with people and a good meal was had by all.

Thanks to Sue and Jem for organising the walk.
Also thanks to Sue H for providing the report.
