Saturday 3rd August 2019 Walk Report

10 members met at Bosworth's Garden Centre on a pleasant morning at 09.45 to order food and started off at 10.00hrs through the fields of horses tha were liable to end up on some French dinner plate or some unsuspecting burger.
We clipped the edge of Burton Latimer past the football pitch where the Poppies were to play their first match of the season and on to the A14 where we took the footpat along side this busy road, this was the bed of the old Kettering to Cambridge  railway line.

After posing for a photo by Roger K on the steps down to the lower level we took the wrong path only to find the correct path was over grown with nettles since the recce due to the wet warm weather.

Two ladies with bare legs and one dog turned back at this point, the others carrying on expecting Dr. Livingstone to appear at any moment.

We then went past the rear of Weetabix where the path had been trimmed and into Burton latimer Pocket Park.
Due to the length of time getting through the jungle we went direct to Bosworth's cutting a mile or so off the route.

Back at Bosworth's we were joined by three non walking members for lunch.

Thanks to Bill J for organising and leading what appears to have been a an adventurous walk.
Thanks also to Roger K for acting as back marker. Roger also posted some pictures of the walk on our Facebook page. Find us at "Kettering and District Rambling Club" to see them.
